Windows 7 won’t boot past “Starting Windows” screen

You wont see flag icon on startup screen

The only thing that worked for me was to shut down the computer, turn back on and immediately begin tapping F8 until I saw the safe mode boot screen. One of the options is boot in safe mode with command prompt – I clicked on that and typed: sfc /scannow

After the scan it said one of her registry files had been corrupt and was restored (automatically). After that the computer began working normal – except that now I’m trying to make a back-up DVD and I’m getting an “I/O error …..”

At least the computer is back to normal, try it!

Joomla! 3.7 is HERE

joomla 3.7

The Joomla! Project is proud to announce the release of Joomla! 3.7, the latest in the ‘Joomla! 3’ series. This new release features over 700 improvements to the popular CMS, including many features which make administration of Joomla! Web sites easier and more feature-rich, as well as several security updates.

One of the biggest new features of this release is the ability for administrators to add Custom Fields to your articles, users, and contacts, and the ability of extension developers to use this feature within their own custom Joomla! Extensions. With 15 different field types you can now easily structure more complex content entry systems to allow your content authors to easily enter their data in a standard manner and display it consistently to your site visitors. Thanks to our great documentation crew, you can find out all about the options and process for using this new feature when you read the Custom Fields tutorial on the Joomla! Documentation site.

For those who need to create multilingual sites, the process to translate your content just got significantly easier. The Multilingual Associations Component allows you to easily translate your content from one single, unified interface. You can find out more when you read the Multilingual Associations Component tutorial on the Joomla! Documentation site.

Anyone creating new content articles that require a new menu item can now save time with the new Improved Workflow features. You can now create a category, article, and menu item all in one step from within the menu manager.

One other added menu-related benefit, for those sites where multiple people are accessing the Backend/Admin-side of the site is the ability to easily manage the admin menu with the new Backend Menu Manager. Now you can create custom menus for the Backend just like you can for the Frontend – allowing you to control what users can see which admin menu options.

This release also brings a number of new and enhanced features specifically for developers. Joomla! 3.7 brings  improvements within the update system, cache systems and package/extension management, as well as a host of other under the hood advances.

Joomla! 3.7 is the eighth and latest release in the 3.x series. Please note that going from 3.6.x to 3.7 is a one-click update and is not a migration. The same is true for any subsequent versions in the 3 series of the CMS.

In addition to the features mentioned above, other significant highlights of the 3.7 release include:

  • Do more with TinyMCE – Including new buttons to easily add menu links and contacts and many other improvements
  • Easier Extension Maintenance – Prevent administrators from accidentally uninstalling needed extension package elements
  • User Experience – Your User Experience is improved thanks to the display of your global settings, a flatter backend template, the possibility to share your session between frontend and backend and a number of other minor UX improvements.

To view a full list of the features please visit our 3.7 site (now available in over 25 languages).

Is your website ready for Joomla! 3.7?

Joomla! 3.7 is a one-click update just like previous 3.x versions. If your site is not already running 3.6.5, we strongly urge you to update immediately. Joomla! 3.6.5 was a security release and your site is at risk if you are running a previous version. If you presently have a 3.6.4 (or earlier) version of Joomla, please review the update category on the Joomla! Documentation.

As always, before upgrading it is important to update all of your third party extensions and also to take and test a full backup of your site.

This is also a great time to connect with your hosting company and check your PHP and database versions. We recommend upgrading to PHP 7 or 7.1 as it will bring a considerable speed boost to your site. Further system requirements can be found on the technical requirements page.

Also, if you are using the Hathor backend template you should switch to the Isis template as your administrative template. The Hathor template is being deprecated and may not provide you with the ability to use all the latest features in Joomla! 3.7.

To remove above issue shown in image and make your website more secure do perform following steps.
I suggest to have Cloudflare setup in your DNS system.paid SSL certificate for your web page needs your complete support to maintain. But, Cloudflare provides free SSL certificates with a limited access (enough for any website) and it takes care most of the support that your web page needs.
Most importantly, nowadays Google is providing better preferences for the web pages which has HTTPs as the protocol and more chances for your web page to appear on Google search.

The App is “PENDING PUBLICATION” what is that??

We love to help you host your android app on playstore.

Problem:

Platform: Android, Application Publish status

I uploaded a new app in my Developer account
When i published it , I found the app status “PENDING PUBLICATION”
What is that meaning?

Solution:

its a “Publishing status”

Near the top of individual apps’ pages on your Developer Console, you can see your app’s latest publishing status. Whether you’re publishing an app for the first time or making an update, you can use your publishing status to understand your app’s availability on Google Play.

Here are the different statuses that can be displayed for your app:

    • Draft: App hasn’t been published on Google Play.
      • Note: If the Publish app option isn’t available, click Why can’t I publish? for more information or check your app’s pages on the left menu to make sure you’ve included all required information for your app.
  • Pending publication: App is currently being processed for publishing.
  • Published: App is published and available on Google Play.
  • Rejected: App has been rejected and wasn’t published due to a violation of Google Play policies. More information about the violation is available near the top of your app’s pages on the Developer Console. Once you make a change to your app to address the violation, you can submit it again.
  • Suspended: App is suspended due to a violation of Google Play Policies (Content Policy, Developer Distribution Agreement). An email with details about the suspension is sent to the account owner.

It can take up to half hour to 2-3 days to get it published state from Pending publication status

Install any extension and site crashes and goes into maintenance mode. please help

Problem :

Platform: magento 1.9

When I try to install any extension, my site goes offline (maintenance mode).

I’m installing them through the magento connect manager.

An example extension would be http://connect20.magentocommerce.com/community/TBT_Enhancedgrid

I have some extensions previously installed.

I’m running  Magento CE ver. 1.9.0.1 on an ubuntu LAMP machine.

I’ve tried removing any unused modules and clearing var -> cache

What should I do?

learn magento

Solution :

As to Magento Connect not cleaning up after install and getting a 503 error, that’s pretty standard with Magento Connect installs. Find the file maintenance.flag in your Magento root directory and delete it. ( you can use filezilla FTP client to delete maintenance.flag file)

The maintenance.flag file puts Magento into maintenance mode and stops access to the site during module installation so the installer scripts that run after module installation can have half a chance to run properly on a busy website.

Search does not return results

Problem :

Platform : Magento 1.9 , Catelog search, Search
As i described in the title i don’t get any results when i search for a product. I have tried so far:

  1. Checking the visibility of the products
  2. My products are in stock
  3. I have also set the qty to 100 to be sure
  4. I have updated the products attributes under catalog->manage products-> select all products.
  5. I assigned all the products in the main website for my certain store view.
  6. The name attribute can be used for search.

I have also tried to search with the sku but nothing happens again. The odd is that the advanced search with both name and skuworks.

And my problem remains.. Any ideas on how to make my products to appear when searched??

This Solution works Perfactly:

I’ve experienced this. My fix was to go to Manage Products and select all products and perform an "Update Attributes" from the dropdown above the grid. In the Update Attributes screen, move to the Websites tab and re-associate with the proper website by checking the checkbox under Add Products To Website.

Screenshots to understand better :

Step 1: Go to Manage Products and select all products and perform an "Update Attributes"

Step 2: move to the Websites tab & check the checkbox for which store you want your search to perform.

Step 3 : Save.

Refresh Front-end website and Try to search product, you will find its working, Bingo!
